How are financial markets performing?
2022 was officially the worst year in global markets since the 2008 financial crisis. In UK stock markets, the FTSE 250 Index fell by almost 1% in December, bringing the 2022 performance close to -20%. In US stock markets, the S&P 500 Index fell by almost 4% in December, bringing the 2022 performance close to -20%.
